Ifuna is an NGO organization, registered in Hungary. According to the Statue the organization is led by the board. The board is formed by the President, the Treasurer and the General Secretary. The board meets in every 2 weeks and is supported by the Board of Honorary Members. These members assist in conference organisation, editing the journal and in the dissemination of the mission of the organisation both on international and national level.
Gabor Hermann DMD, orthodontic specialist. Gabor graduated from Semmeiweis University Dental School and also certified as an orthodontist at the same university. He lives and practices in Budapest, Hungary, whereas he is also a head of a digital orthodontic laboratory and the training center for the posture, breathing and orofacial myofunctional therapy. Gabor joined IFUNA in 2012. Since this time he has been lecturing in the subject of paradigm shift in the orthodontic specialty.
Together with Michael Gorbonos, they formed the mission statement of the organisation in 2019. As an orthodontist, he had been a lecturer on interdisciplinary teamwork, aligner orthodontics and passive self-ligation orthodontics. Over the past 10 years he transformed his practice to a function and health based orthodontic and craniofacial functional medical practice. He uses appliances of FJO, ALF and a Crossover ALF system. He also treats sleep and TMD patients. Gabor introduced new definitions for the orthodontic specialty and coined the term craniofacial functional medicine.
