Ifuna is an NGO organization, registered in Hungary. According to the Statue the organization is led by the board. The board is formed by the President, the Treasurer and the General Secretary. The board meets in every 2 weeks and is supported by the Board of Honorary Members. These members assist in conference organisation, editing the journal and in the dissemination of the mission of the organisation both on international and national level.
President
Prof. Andrea Deregibus graduated in Medicine from the University of Turin, Italy, in 1979 and specialized in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the same University in November 1982. In 1997, he obtained the title of Doctor of Research in Gnathology. From 01/01/2005 he is hired as University Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Turin, and receives the teaching assignment of the subject Clinical Gnathology and Orthodontics at the Dental School; subsequently, he receives the teaching assignment of Orthodontics at the Course in Dental Hygiene of the University of Turin.
From March 2006, he received the position of managing the Clinical Gnathology Unit of the Dental School of the AOU City of Health and Science of Turin, and from February 2014, he also received the position of Head of the Department of Orthodontics, positions he holds to this day. He is also Director of the Post Graduate School in Orthodontics at the University of Turin as well as Director of the Masters in Contemporary Orthodontics and of the Master in Align Orthodontics at the same University.
On 01/12/2019 he is called and takes service as Associate Professor.
In 1983 he is appointed as an ordinary member of SIDO (Italian Society of Orthodontics).
Since 1999 he has been a Master of the I.C.C.M.O. (International College of Cranio-Mandibular-Orthopedics).
Since 2003 he has been a full member of Store Kro, the world’s most exclusive society for the study of oral physiology. He is a founding member of IFUNA (International Functional Association). He has been an honorary member of the Ukrainian Association of Orthodontics since 2017.
In the years 2026-’27 he’ll be President of the Italian Association of Gnathology (AIGeDO)
He is the author and co-author of more than 300 scientific papers and book chapters.
He has lectured at more than 100 Congresses in both domestic and international venues, including the United States, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Russia, Ukraine and Armenia
